The USA being a Christian nation, what is the reason many want to spiritually destroy it?

The Declaration of Independence speaks of our Creator. The last sentence in the Constitution says "in the year of our Lord, 1787". The USA is not a theocracy, but it was founded on Christian principles. But many rebel against God's authority.
