Has anyone noticed that some Conservatives seem to forget they are Christians when it comes to Health Care?

I have noticed that many on the RIght, the so called Christian RIght have taken a position on Health Care that is against the teachings of Christianity. While the plan is backed by the Catholic Church it seems many Evangelicals are the ones who do not want this to go forward, They say they do not want to pay for someone else's Health Care. Isn't that an odd thing for a person of God to say? If they had a choice of using tax dollars for the military for new bombs or tax dollars to use on Health care to help people live, what would it be?
