How can I do a Craigslist transaction long-distance?

Tell him to list it on eBay and send you a link to the auction. He'll probably have to inflate the price a few bucks to cover seller fees and Paypal's cut., but then you both have buyer/seller protection through eBay and can do the transaction with Paypal.
